Zoning Regulations

Ellie reviewed the changes to the letter to Ted Kritsis.  Sue, in Town Hall, told Ellie she can submit the letter any time before the public hearing – it’s better to submit a complete letter rather than changing it later.  The Public Hearing is December 11th.  Most of the discussion was about the second bulleted item – the amount to set aside for open space.  The group agreed that “open space requirement should be a minimum of 50 percent of the total parcel or 15% of the buildable land plus the non-buildable land, whichever provides the most open space.”

Emergency Management Planning

Ted is working on the plans with Dave Roberge.  Dave asked for a liaison person.  Paul volunteered.

Natural Resources Inventory

Ted suggested everyone should go to the UCONN Clear site.  He sent email to the commission and recommended that we through read it.

POCD Strategy

Ellie said the town needs to redo this plan for 2010.  She will go to the Selectmen and ask Tim Griswold to appoint the Conservation Commission as editors of the plan.

Board Member Status

Ellie asked who wants to continue as members in 2007.  All those present at this meeting said they would continue.

CRERPA Questionnaire

Ellie urged everyone to fill in the questionnaire – either electronically or on paper – and submit it to CRERPA.
